I was told that Zekrom and Reshiram were two pokemon that COULD NOT be Shiny yet since Pokemon White 2 and Black 2 have come out in Japan i have noticed that Seribii.net has sudeenly added pictures of the sprites of these two Pokemon and what they look like as Shiny Pokemon so think this means that we can get Shinies of these two Awesome Dragons, in Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. If so means that lots of people who know how to RNG will be happy as they will be able to RNG to get shinies of these two.

Bulbapedia also has the shiny sprites of them. For both BW and BW2. The data for shinies is put in to avoid any programming issues in the game, such as the old Missingno. from R/B/Y, which was caused by missing data. It's the same as egg cycles, all legendaries have egg cycles, but can not reproduce.

The reason why they can not be shiny in BW is because they play a role in the main story line and were locked to never be obtained as shiny, similar to Wi-Fi gifts.

Not sure about BW2 since I have no idea how you obtain the version mascots (catching White Kyurem would result in just Kyurem I believe, correct me if I am wrong though, haven't seen anything about it).

Which basically means you can get them shinnies if they are hacked but there is no legal way of making them such.

It'd be nice to see them be available as shiny now, but I don't see how they would be available in BW2 since it has not been mentioned in any of the in-depth Serebii (or anywhere else) breakthroughs and writeups.  It is true though that the data for shinies of them and victini exist, but for glitch avoidance only, not for use.  An Action Replay with the right code can get you these shinies but of course everyone will be yelling about it.

@Roxas - U get Zekrom or Reshiram by beating N after u beat the Elite four then when u beat N his dragon turns back into the stone which when u take to dragonspiral tower, can be restored to the dragon from the respectives games (Zekrom for Black 2 and Reshiram for White 2) which u can battle and catch.
As for the idea of Seribii.net not mentioning about them being shiny or not - For all the other games when u look at the section on obtainable legendaries, not one of them mentions about them being shiny or not so how would that mean that u cant get them? I personally think that with Seribii.net adding those sprites into the Black and White Pokedex, that yes u can get lucky and get shiny versions of them

Those shiny sprites in Pokedex have been there all along, since B/W was released!

I think if the shiny lock was removed, there would have been big news of it. I'm sure people have already tried RNGing the legends to see.

HOWEVER, I have heard of one very interesting way to remove the shiny lock. I have read this a few times but please keep in mind that this is most likely a rumour or hoax. I have heard in BW, if you have every slot filled in your PC and your party, you can advance the plot without catching Reshiram/Zekrom. Afterwards you can abandon a few Pokemon and head to Dragonspiral Tower to find him, where the shiny lock is removed so you can RNG or SS to your hearts content.

There is absolutle no way to get them shiny in black 2 and white 2. they still have the shiny lock on them.

It would be epic to get Reshiram as a shiny, it looks so awsome to me like that

Like Kevin said, the shiny lock remains. You can get a shiny White/ Black Kyurem, but you can't get a shiny Reshiram/ Zekrom. Still a shame though, a Reshiram with Pink Flares would be nice

That would be awesome to have them as shinies, but alas, it will not be possible..

How could you get a shiny black or white kyrem? Just use a shiny kyrem?

yeah fuse a shiny kyurem with zekrom or reshiram and you will have a shiny black kyurem or shiny white kyurem.

Btw, does a fused Kyurem retains the nickname of the Kyurem you use for the fusion?

I was wondering something similar, how do the EVs get calculated when you fuse? Say your Reshiram is fully EV trained and your Kyurem is not, does your White Reshiram get the EV training or is it lost? Then if you de-fuse your dragon you have to do it over again? Anyone know how the fusion mechanics work?

I haven't checked, but if I understand correctly your Reshiram/Zekrom is stored away, and the IVs and Evs are those of your Kyurem. The cartridge has only enough place to store a single Reshiram/Zekrom this way, so you cannot have more than one fused Kyurem at any given time.

That would make sense. So say you level up your White Kyurem, then if you were to separate them your Kyurem would be one level higher while your Reshiram would still be at its original level? Makes the math and training easy to understand I guess...

Yep, technically you could fuse a lvl 100 Zekrom with a lvl 40 Kyurem and the result would be a lvl 40 Kyurem.

I would love shines of these they look cool, but i'm not sure if you can get them, there's been lots discussion if you can or not.
